Made from 100% Estate fruit, the blend is 89% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec. The 2023 vintage was cool in Napa Valley which delivered wines that are well balanced, elegant and approachable in their youth. The color is bright radiant ruby. The wine opens with enticing aromas of red fruit, ripe raspberry and dark cherry notes of rose petals with chalky minerality. The palate is full bodied and has weight, but is lively and vibrant with bright red fruit flavors. The tannins are refined and polished. The finish is fresh, refined and has remarkable length. This wine has all the earmarks of what made Duckhorn Three Palms wine one of the benchmark Merlots produced in Napa Valley. Enjoy now but it has the structure to hold up to 10 years.
