2021 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Karia Napa Valley Chardonnay

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars was established in 1970 after Warren Winiarski purchased a 44-acre parcel of land in the Stag’s Leap District, planting it to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. They earned worldwide acclaim during the 1976 Judgment of Paris Tasting when the 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon paired against the top reds from Bordeaux and took first place honors. The winery was sold in 2007 to Chateau Ste. Michelle and Marchese Antinori.

This Chardonnay has a medium yellow hue opening to a floral bouquet of white flowers and honeysuckle. This wine is packed with freshly picked orchard apples, white peach, lemon verbena, glycerin and finely crushed minerality. The emphasis of this wine is on freshness and balance. Delicious!
