2016 Patz & Hall Gap's Crown Pinot Noir

The iconic Gap’s Crown vineyard is located in the cool, foggy and windswept sector of Sonoma County. These vineyards are situated on the western foothills of Sonoma Mountain at elevations ranging from 300-800 feet. It is an idyllic growing region for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

A deep colored garnet color opens with a bouquet of rose oil and ripe macerated cherries. Inside you will discover wild strawberries, crème de cassis, earth and sweet sandalwood. This wine is very persistent on the palate and may remind you of young grand cru Montrachet. The tannins are sweet and well polished. It has plenty of elegance and is finesse-driven leading you along a path of gratification.
