2017 Domaine Carneros by Taittinger Late Disgorged

Sourced from estate Carneros fruit, this is a cuvée of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is aged for a total of six years on the lees before bottling. This lovely, traditional French style gives you a glimpse of its character within the deep, yellow hue of this wine. It has an extroverted personality boasting of aromas of freshly baked crusted bread, brown sugar and crushed walnuts. The creamy mid-palate of apple blossoms and lemon curd laced with vanilla sponge cake showcase richness while adding another dimension to the complexity within. You can easily savor this wine for the entire evening, but you can’t resist it’s immediate gratification. Congrats to Remi Cohn and the team at Domaine Carneros.
