2017 Iris Vineyards D Block Pinot Noir

This 870-acre estate is situated in the foothills of southern Willamette Valley. Iris Vineyard’s inaugural release was 2001. They source from their own estate vineyards and other Willamette Valley growers. In 2017, Dijon 115 grapes were destemmed, fermented in stainless steel, and aged 10 months in French oak, 40% new. Moderately light garnet in color, the wine presents with spicy aromas and undertones of red cherry, pomegranate, and cranberry. Its personality is elegant and finesse driven with finely grained tannins. Fresh, elegant, and alluring, it continued to taste well the next day.
