2017 Quilceda Creek CVR

Established in 1978, Quilceda Creek has been recognized by Robert Parker Jr. of the Wine Advocate, as “one Washington State’s premier Cabernet Sauvignon producers. “

The CVR is a collective blend of all of their vineyard sites. The blend is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Merlot aged in 100% French Oak barrels. This Cabernet Sauvignon dominant wine from Quilceda Creek is a surreal experience at every level. The wine bursts open with a collection of alluring baking spices and black mulberry aromas that draw you deep into the glass. The CVR offers a classic Washington State terroir with a bouquet will keep your attention the entire evening. The middle is lush and silky with an assortment of mixed berries encased with Asian spices and sage. The tannins are well polished. This wine is complete in every way and after finishing the glass, I searched for a retailer with inventory. This is an exemplary, well-crafted Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon.
