2017 The Farm Winery touchy-feely

Situated in the Westside Hills of the Adelaida district of Paso Robles. Four friends from Argentina and California came together at “the farm” 30 years ago. They traveled back and forth to the property over the years, realizing the true potential of the vineyards. One of the friends, Santiago Achaval, would become a renowned producer of Malbec in Mendoza, Argentina. His talents would contribute to the future success of “The Farm Winery.”

There is a modest production of 139 cases of this 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah blend. The dusty light ruby color does not diminish the intensity of flavors within this wine. There are rich floral aromas of rose oil and freshly ground cinnamon mixed together with an array of lively fruitcake spices. Candied violets, brown spices and wild strawberry exude from the creamy core of this wine into a long, satiny finish. It is hard to put the glass down as this wine is built on finesse and an exotic fruit-driven personality.
