2017 Willful Dundee Hills AVA Pinot Noir

Founded in 2012, Willful Wine is owned by British born Pam Walden who describes herself as “willful”. She is also the winemaker with experience from the school of hard knocks, but that’s another story. Only 47 cases were made of the Dundee Hills Pinot Noir from Belanza Vineyard. The 100% Pommard clone fruit is fermented with native yeast and aged in a mix of French oak. It’s perfumed and forward with flavors of plum, cherry cola, vanilla, and a hint of green tomato leaf. The flavors linger in a satisfying long and full finish. Very limited.
