2018 Alain Robert Les Charmes Vouvray

This estate was established in 1973 by Christiane and Alain Robert. It has grown considerably to become a family operation. There are 91 acres within the appellation of Vouvray in the village of Chançay, with the majority of plantings to Chenin Blanc.

This Vouvray is composed of 100% Chenin Blanc grapes that are 40 years old and grown in clay, limestone and flint soils. The pale yellow color is a bit deceiving as this wine is very expressive. Elements of candied Meyer lemon, white peach and lemon grass layer across the palate with just a touch of acidity, keeping this wine fresh and exciting. This wine is another example of the true definition of Vouvray .
