2018 Chateau Lassegue St. Emilion Grand Cru

Nestled on the Côte de Saint-Émilion, Château Lassègue is positioned to honor its heritage while also moving into a new era of winemaking tradition. Under the direction of renowned vigneron, Pierre Seillan, and his son, Nicolas Seillan, Château Lassègue combines the best of old world tradition and new world expertise to produce extraordinary wines.

The 2018 Chateau Lassègue is a typical Right Bank Bordeaux blend from an exceptional vintage with 62% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. As expected, the color is dark ruby-opaque with a bouquet of rustic spice and black currants. Within are elements of crushed blueberries intertwined with anise, graphite, loam and dark molten chocolate. The tannins are ripe and rounded. The core of this wine lingers on your mid-palate for minutes, allowing you to savor each of its components. The finish is prolonged and very French.
