2018 Chehalem Reserve Pinot Noir

In the American native language Chehalem translates as “Valley of Flowers.” Biil Stoller joined Harry Peterson-Nedry as co-owner in 1993 and assumed sole ownership of Chehalem in 2018. Ridgecrest planted in the Ribbon Ridge AVA was the first vineyard planted, followed by Corral Creek, Stoller and the Chahalem estate.

The 2018 Chahalem Reserve is chosen from the best barrels from Chahalem Mountain, of which is 64% is estate fruit from any given vintage. This wine is aged for 18 months in French Oak barrique. This deeply garnet wine has a deeply woven core of fresh, juicy red berry fruits. It is interwoven with multiple layers of loam and earth that are tightly packed together. The acidity is integrated into each layer leading to a memorable finish.
