2018 Chehalem Ridgecrest Vineyard Pinot Noir

Harry Peterson-Nedry planted Ridgecrest vineyard in 1982 with Bill Stoller expanding it to 29 acres. It is on the western edge of Chahalem Mountains in a cool climate with soils that are predominately Willakenzie soils of volcanic and sedimentary rock.

Given its geography and elevation, the Ridgecrest has more concentrated black and blue fruits along with some briary elements. The dense core unveils loam, wet earth and forest floor balancing nicely with the underlying sweet fruit and delicate acidity. It ends with an elegant touch and a sense of precision.
