2018 Domaine Carneros by Tattinger Blanc De Noirs

The famed house of Champagne Tattinger in Reims, France are the principal owners of this estate. Eileen Crane was the founding winemaker of Domaine Carneros. She was chosen in 1987 by owner Claude Taittinger to build the winery and grow the brand. Today, Remi Cohen is CEO and at the helm, guiding this prolific house to future success.

The pale yellow color boasts fresh, yeasty aromas. The mousse is fine and tailored along the edges of the glass. This medium bodied sparkler has plenty to offer with a beautiful entry of candied lemons, white peach and star fruits basted with lanolin. There is a firmness and texture to this wine, which doesn’t distract from the expressive character of the fruit within. There is a touch of racy acidity and soft minerals that adds to the overall complexity and level of enjoyment.
