2018 Pine Ridge Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon

Founded in 1978 by Gary Andrus, Pine Ridge Vineyards sits in the heart of the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, famous for Cabernet Sauvignon wines of distinctive power and elegance.
Today, the winery owns estate vineyards in five premier Napa Valley appellations: Stags Leap District, Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, and Carneros.
Pine Ridge also own vineyards throughout the most renowned growing regions of Napa Valley: Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, and Carneros. The diversity of terroir inspires their winemaking team to craft wines that reflect the outstanding characteristics of their distinct origins.

The 2018 Pine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec and was aged in for 18 months in 30% new American oak barrels prior to bottling. 70% was aged in neutral French Oak to maintain the freshness and elegance of the vintage. The color is a deep garnet with purple edges in the glass. The aromas reveal dark berry fruit, red currant, bell pepper, cedar, and hints of vanilla cream. The palate is juicy, vibrant, textured with finely grained tannins bright acidity that leads to a long-lasting finish. This well-made Cabernet Sauvignon represents a solid value and will please most Cabernet Sauvignon lovers’ palate and should drink well for 5 – 10 years.
