2018 Talbott Fidelity Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

Founded in 1982 by Robert Talbott, this vineyard crafts luxurious, estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Monterey County’s prestigious Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. Talbott Vineyards is defined by its iconic Sleepy Hollow Vineyard, where conditions are ideal for exceptional, cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Sleepy Hollow surrounds the estate winery in the breathtaking foothills of the Santa Lucia Highlands, affording the winemaking team, led by Winemaker David Coventry, the luxury of control with both their grapes and winery on the same site.

Selected from a 4.2-acre parcel, the acclaimed Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Fidelity Pinot Noir is the pinnacle of the Talbott portfolio and a member-exclusive wine. In the glass the color is sparkling ruby. Out of the glass there are lovely aromas of vanilla, cola, black cherry, roasted caramel, and toasted spice. On the palate, the fruit intensity is super clean and pleasing with little to no earthy notes and smooth tannins. One sip reveals an astoundingly clean wine straight through to the finish. Fidelity Pinot Noir balances the best of Old-World acidity and tannins with New World ripeness and opulence.
