2019 Bouchaine “Estate”, Carneros Chardonnay

The recent history of the Bouchaine Winery revolves around Tatiana and Garrett Copeland who re-energized the winery’s operations and vineyards. The winery currently produces 20 different wines. The Copelands are very involved in charitable works; Tatiana was recently appointed to the board of trustees for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, in Washington, D.C.

This wine displays distinctive aromas of lightly toasted oak, in front of Meyer lemon, green apple, and honeysuckle. Interwoven are layers of vanilla bean , pineapple, citrus and butter. It is a tightly bound, youthful and crisp expression from Carneros. The wine is layered and tangy on the palate.

This wine would be a lovely companion to most sushi and sashimi.
