2019 Bryn Mawr Estate: Pinot Noir

In 2009 Bryn Maer was described as a garagista winery as winemaker Rachel Rose crafted these wines in a basement and former wedding tent. The 40 acre-estate vineyard is situated on the western edge of Eola-Amity Hills at elevations between 650-900 feet. Their oldest parcel is Jeffrey’s Block planted to Djon clone between 1994-1996.

The deep crimson is expressive with aromas of cinnamon and saddle leather. It continues with a mid-palate that is long and inviting with an assortment of mixed berries and brown spices. It all builds to a nice finish of vibrant acidity that blends into the background.
