2019 Chalk Hill Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Attorney Fred Furth, born in Harvey, Illinois purchased an undeveloped plot of land within Russian River Valley in 1972. He established his reputation in crafting award-winning Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The 1,300-acre estate is now owned by vintner Bill Foley of Foley Family Wines.

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is aged for 7 months in French Oak (59%) and (41%) in stainless steel. The combination creates an uplift in delicate tropical aromas of apricot skins, white melon and citrus. While there is a hint of creaminess in the middle, it does not weigh down the wine, as it remains light and pure from entry to finish. This is another great effort from Chalk Hill Winery.
