2019 Donnafugata Floramundi Cerasuolo Di Vittoria DOCG

Coming from the region of Marsala, Giacomo Rallo and his wife Gabriella founded Donnafugata winery in 1983. Their intention was to modernize Sicilian winemaking with a focus on premium wines. Today, it is managed by their children Antonio and José. There are five estates with 835 acres of vineyards spread across Sicily. They source their grapes from Contessa Entellina, the volcanic island of Pantelleria along with Vittoria and Mount Etna.

This red blend is crafted with Nero D’Avola and Frappato from the DOCG region of Cerasuolo Di Vittoria. This wine showcases a soft ruby appearance with subtle aromas of candied red berries and Asian spice. Integrated into the core is crème de cassis, savory tea, black pepper and thyme. It finishes with elegance and finely grained tannins.
