2019 Duckhorn Vineyards "The Discussion"

Founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has been crafting classic Napa Valley wines for nearly 40 years. This winemaking tradition has grown to include seven meticulously farmed Estate vineyards, located throughout the various microclimates of the Napa Valley. Focused on quality and consistency, these Estate vineyards are an essential element in making wines of distinction.

A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot crafted from their finest blocks and barrels of estate fruit. The 2018 vintage of The Discussion is sophisticated, complex and maintains wonderful balance. The wine constantly evolves as you swirl it in the glass. There are alluring aromas of black cherry, red currant rose petals intwined with hints of hazelnut and clove. The palate is plush, silky with juicy dark fruit that is framed by silky structured tannins. It leads to a long-layered finish that remains complex.
