2019 Duckhorn Vineyards Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
Dan and Margaret Duckhorn who had a passion for Bordeaux varietals founded the winery and their legacy in 1976. They became well-known for their coveted Three Palms Merlot which was first released in 1978 along with a Stag’s Leap and Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Duckhorn Vineyard continues its momentum in crafting ultra-premium Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
This is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon bottling from the Rutherford appellation. The deep ruby-garnet color reveals a refined wine with floral scents of dark red roses and French lavender. Within is an array of red orchard fruits intertwined with fresh baking spices, saddle leather, sweet oak and thyme. There is a subtle hint of the classic Rutherford dust which brings everything together. This is a delicious offering that can be consumed early for those in need.
