2019 Iris Vineyards, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Nestled in the Southern Willamette Valley, twenty minutes southwest of Eugene, Oregon, is Iris Vineyards. It produces world-class Oregon wine from grapes grown at their Chalice Vineyard. The cool climate in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range allows the grapes to mature slowly while maintaining the proper acid balance. This is essential for producing the finest Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay.

The 2109 Iris Vineyards Willamette Valley Pinot Noir represents one of the great values from Willamette Valley. It is crafted in a style that is more on the softer side in comparison to other Pinots from the Willamette Valley AVA. The color is light ruby with aromas of sweet red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, and a hint of vanilla bean and sandalwood. The tannins are gentle and smooth with a hint of mild acidity. The wine is as gentle as the price and would satisfy most Willamette Valley Pinot lovers!
