The 2019 Justin is made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The appearance is a ruby purple core, and lighter ruby edges with moderate viscosity. The aromas are seductive revealing ripe dark cherry, baking spices, vanilla, earth, toasted oak, hints of licorice, and cedar. The wine has a soft entry with balanced tannins and acidity but builds momentum to a slightly dry, medium – full bodied, expressing crème de cassis, cinnamon, and rich concentrated red fruit. The finish is savory and moderately long. The Justin Cabernet Sauvignon represents a stunning value for wine of this complexity, balance of flavors and textures. This wine drinks well in its youth and pairs well with a variety of hearty dishes but can age nicely for several years in the cellar. It is one of my favorite everyday drinking red wines.
