2019 Migration Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

With its label of migrating ducks in flight, Migration is part of the Duckhorn Wine Company. Originally designated as a second label for the Goldeneye Winery in Anderson Valley, Migration is now its own entity with a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast AVA. In addition to its Russian River estate, they have migrated to include elite vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valleys.

The 2019 Migration Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a blend of multiple Sonoma Coast sites including their Russian River estate. The wine opens with aromas of bright red fruits, nuanced damp forest floor and dried herbs. The palate is high-toned with flavors of cherry, cranberry, strawberry, and savory herbs. A grippy finish is long, lingering, and memorable.
