2019 Paul Hobbs Hyde Vineyard Carneros Pinot Noir

Growing up on his family orchard farms in upstate New York, Paul understood hard work and discipline. He attended Notre Dame and studied pre-medicine. Afterwards, he studied enology at UC Davis. He honed his winemaking talents at Robert Mondavi Winery, Opus One, Simi and others. His attention to detail was unmatched as he advanced the concept of vineyard designate wines. The winery was founded in 1991.

These grapes are sourced from Larry Hyde’s legendary hillside vineyards in Carneros. This wine is immediately appealing with its bright ruby color and aromas of thyme, sweet basil and fresh herbs. The middle core is a mixture of silky red and blue fruits with a thread of sweet spices, cinnamon, and glycerin. It keeps on going from front to back with impeccable balance and freshness. Congratulations to the winemaking team on this superb effort.
