2019 Stonestreet Upper Barn Vineyard Alexander Valley Chardonnay

Stonestreet Estate Vineyards is part of the Jackson Family of wines founded in 1995 by Jess Stonestreet Jackson and Barbara Blake. The 5,500-acre estate is located in the Mayacamas Mountain Range within Alexander Valley at elevations ranging from 4,000 – 2,400 feet. Single vineyard wines of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc are crafted at this high elevation property. The legacy of this property has been passed through three generations.

This a very racy and sensuous bottling of Chardonnay. The medium yellow hue gives way to an expressive bouquet of honeycomb and beeswax. The core is deeply textured and opulent with notes of sea salt and finely chiseled chalk which continually keeps it in balance. There are layers upon layers of complex fruits that add to the expansive mid-palate. The overall quality of this Chardonnay is quite remarkable and is a testament to the talents of this winemaking team.
