2019 Three Sticks Gap’s Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Three Sticks Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery led by veteran winemaker Bob Cabral. Cabral's commitment to crafting small-lot, artisanal wines from exceptional Sonoma Coast vineyards, including Durell Vineyard, Gap's Crown Vineyard and Walala Vineyard, drives the winery's focus of creating site specific wines. Founded in 2002, Three Sticks has a down to earth approach to growing and winemaking; they believe in table fellowship as the power of wine to bring people together.

Consistent wind and fog from the Petaluma Gap create grape clusters with thicker skins and smaller berries. This leads to perfect growing conditions for Pinot Noir. In the glass the color shows a brilliant glistening ruby. The nose reveals blue fruit, savory spices, nutmeg, and a hint of crushed rocks. The palate is juicy, lush, and richly textured. The tannins are fresh and persistent backed by bright acidity and wonderful balance. The finish is long and elegant with a hint of minerality. A stunning wine from the Sonoma Coast!
