2019 Vina Robles The Arborist

Swiss entrepreneur and importer Hans Nef intended to found a winery in Paso Robles that would ”honor his European roots.” In 1996 Hans and his business partner planted their first vineyard and the following year established Vina Robles Winery.
An estate blend of Syrah, Petite Syrah, Grenache and Tannat aged in French, American and Hungarian Oak for 18 months. Opaque with a purple rim, this wine opens with aromas of cedar and baking spices. It over delivers on the palate with an assortment of ripe black and blue fruits, Oolong tea and vanilla extract with ultra-fine tannins. Given its impressive intensity and modest price, try putting a case aside for the weekdays.
