2019 Windracer Saralee Vineyard RRV Chardonnay

Saralee’s Vineyard has a history of producing stunning Burgundian varieties. The vines are situated near the Petaluma Gap in the Russsian River Valley. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean contributes to the fog and windswept conditions in this region. Grapes ripen slowly in this cool climate, developing lush, complex flavors. The vineyard is over 30 years old and is dry farmed.
This pale yellow Chardonnay is fleshy with aromas of a freshly baked lemon meringue pie. There are elements of candied citrus fruits along with honeysuckle, some smoky notes and a touch of finely crushed minerality in the background. This wine tastes super fresh with flavors that are nicely integrated and well balanced.
