WindRacer brings two world-class growing regions into the spotlight. Launched in 2006, the co-proprietors are Barbara Banke and Peggy Furth. The Tidal Break Vineyard is nestled along the Sonoma Coast, a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. This vineyard sits just above the fog line, allowing the warm sun to balance out the strong, cool afternoon winds. The Chardonnay from this vineyard is one of winery’s most exciting new additions to their portfolio. Their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir leads in style more toward Burgundian in its restraint yielding to a mineral rich impression which is classic to Sonoma Coast.

The 2019 WindRacer Tidal Break Vineyard Chardonnay displays a beautiful pale yellow hue. The entry of this wine reveals aromas of lemon curd, savory - toasted oak, nutmeg, salinity with crushed stone and a subtle hint of sea salt. The palate is silky, has some weight and a creamy texture with the savory notes coming through that finishes with persistent acidity that gives this wine impeccable balance, and a delicious mouthfeel.
