This wine is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc from vines that average 25 years of age. It spends 18 months in 40% new French Oak and 20% in large foudres.

Opaque-garnet in color this blend has a soaring bouquet of rose petals, purple violets and crushed stones. Everything is slowly draped over elements of dark wild blueberries, earth, cedar and pencil lead shavings. As I stepped back for a moment, I thought I was in Bordeaux again. This polished wine is firmly built on texture, density and freshness. It is certain to benefit from additional cellar aging.
