2020 Chateau Giscours

Located on a beautiful 300-hectare estate, the 83-hectare Giscours vineyard is in the famous Margaux appellation. Chateaux Giscours has a long history, which can be traced back to the 14th century. Giscours exceptional terroir presents all the qualities required to produce a great wine. The soil components are ideal.

This is a beautifully made Giscours. With a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44% Merlot, the color is almost opaque with purple edges in the glass. Aromas of lavender, truffle, currant, saddle leather and slight scent of minerality. Medium- bodied, the flavors take me on an amazing journey of rich red and black fruit with savory accents. The tannins are finely grained, round, and well-managed, which is a great achievement for the 2020 vintage from Margaux. The acidity in this wine is fresh and precise that carries through a long caressing finish. The rich history of winemaking at Giscours is showing its colors!
