(Wine sampled from tubes) This modest property is one of the jewels of Jean-Pierre Moueix portfolio purchased in 1999. It rests on red gravel and clay subsoils. The opulent blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc give rise to a sultry bouquet of fresh crème de cassis, Ranier cherries and rose oil which rise up out of the glass inviting you inside. Within it is framed with an array of exotic baking spices, tea, graphite and freshly roasted coffee. This wine has an ultra-complex personality with edges that are finely polished. You might want to describe it as opulent elegance.
