Chateau Montelena was catapulted into the history books as the 1973 Chateau Montelena won top acclaim over French counterparts at the 1976 Judgment of Paris Tasting. Located in northern Calistoga, California, Chateau Montelena celebrated 50 years of Barrett family ownership and direction.

Light yellow in color with a green tinged rim. This wine is shy and somewhat restrained at this early phase of its development. Undertones of chamomile and spring flowers are interwoven with bright yellow citron and stone fruits. Well designed, yet destined to show its true potential over time.
