The estate was purchased in 1941 by Paul Pibran Billa. He renamed the property using his middle name of Pibran. In 1987 Chateau Pibran was purchased by the AXA group. Beginning in 1988 AXA renovated the property, infused money into the chateau and replanting the vineyards.

(Wine sampled from tubes) Sourced from vineyards in the appellation of Pauillac, this blend is composed of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine opens with a deep ruby hue and a delicate bouquet of spring flowers. It is framed with pure red raspberries and currants that are layered with brown spices, red licorice and some crushed minrality.
