2020 Chateau Smith Haut-Lafitte Blanc

These estate grapes are sourced from a 27-acre parcel of land that is exposed to cooler temperatures. The vines are planted in clay-limestone subsoils with older vines having an age of up to 70 years. Year in and year out these are some of the most stylish dry white wines anywhere in Bordeaux and they will stand the test of time. Pale yellow in color, this wine is integrated with complex tropical aromas of Mandarin orange, honeyed tangerine, and white peach. The middle has an underpinning of soft lemon zest, cream and pineapple that is held nicely together with minerality and freshness. This is another awe-inspiring white from technical director Fabien Teitgen.
