2020 Chateau Trotanoy

(Wine sampled from tubes) Acquired in 1953 by Jean-Pierre Moueix, Château Trotanoy has been considered one of the premier crus of Pomerol since the end of the eighteenth century. Opaque-ruby in color, the aromatics and flavor profile unveil a wine of true pedigree. The feminine nose is seductive with aromas of purple flowers and lavender. Beneath is red currant jam, rich framboise, and cinnamon wrapped in velvety tannins that carry through the mid-palate. It is juicy, long and beautifully textured. A true intellectual experience.
