2020 Copain DuPratt Anderon Valley Chardonnay

Copain Winery is located on a hillside property in the Russian River Valley. Established in 1999, Copain means ‘friend’ in French. Their philosophy is that “wine enhances life’s most joyous occasions, and is an experience best shared with friends and family.” Copain secures their fruit from cool climate vineyards in Sonoma, Monterey and Mendocino. Their emphasis is on appellation and vineyard designate wines of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

The small, 5-acre parcel of DuPratt vineyard was originally planted in 1918 and rests at 1,550 feet in elevation in Anderson Valley situated in the western region of Mendocino County. The sandy yellow hue reveals freshly picked aromas of Granny Smith Apples and white flowers that rise up from the glass. Within the core is an oily Meyer Lemon richness accented with minerality and fine chalk. These components add to the fresh bright flavors in this Chardonnay as it elegantly glides across your palate.
