2020 Domaine Anderson Estate Anderson Valley Chardonnay

Domaine Anderson is located near the small, wine growing community of Philo. The ideal growing conditions for Chardonnay led Jean Claude Rouzaud, Chairman of Louis Roederer, to this remote corner of Mendocino County in the early 1980's. In search of the perfect vineyard sites in which to grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, Mr. Rouzaud knew the remote Valley's sloping hillsides and cooler climate would provide optimal conditions for the fulfillment of his vision to produce world-class wines of the highest standards of distinction.
The 2020 Domaine Anderson Estate Chardonnay displays a golden yellow color with aromas of Honey Crisp Apple, lemon, crushed white stone minerality and a hint of sea salt. The palate is crisp, lively with vibrant acidity, baked pear, candied honey, spice that is wonderfully woven through the mid palate on to a finish that is long, savory, and delicious to drink now. Pairs beautifully with an array of grilled whitefish, whole lobster with butter, lemon chicken with roasted potatoes, and pasta with a cream sauce.
