This is the second wine from Chateau Leoville Poyferre in the appellation of St. Julien. A vibrant ruby color opens to a bouquet of purple violets and wildflowers. This wine is jam packed with crème de cassis, black raspberry compote, graphite and laced with spices. There are supple tannins and a creamy core that is the hallmark personality of Leoville Poyferre. The middle is concentrated and powerful with an exhilarating depth of fruit that should reveal itself over time. This is an unassuming wine destined for fame.
