Rombauer Vineyards is a Napa Valley based, family-owned winery founded in 1980 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer. Visiting the winery along Silverado Trail in St Helena, the Rombauer family provides a wonderful experience and the staff is dedicated to showing gracious hospitality. Rombauer owns and sustainably farms over 670 acres of vineyards in Carneros, Atlas Peak, Stags Leap, St. Helena, Calistoga, and the Sierra Foothills. Rombauer’s Chardonnays, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignons, Zinfandels and Sauvignon Blanc are beloved by wine enthusiasts.

The 2020 Rombauer Vineyards California Zinfandel is a classic California Zinfandel that shows bold dark fruit flavors. It is richly concentrated and enticing after every taste. The color is dark purple with deep ruby hues. Out of the glass the aromas are expressive, showcasing blackberry, raspberry spice, clove and a hint of oak. The palate is full-bodied with lush juicy fruit flavors. There are notes of vanilla, wrapped in a creamy core, that continue into a full delicious mouth-feel. The acidity keeps it fresh through the finish. A very enjoyable Zinfandel that can pair with a wide range of food from rich cheeses to barbecue short ribs.
