2020 Schramsberg Brut Rosé

The 2020 Schramsberg Brut Rosé ís composed of 72% Pinot Noir and 28% Chardonnay with the majority of the fruit sourced from the North Coast of Sonoma (67%). 26% of the wine was fermented in barrel.

This exquisite rosé reveals itself with an appealing sunset orange hue and delicate scents of fresh brioche intertwined with fine, persistent bubbles. Your initial impression is that it is a look-a-like rose´ from Champagne. As you delve deep into the core you are greeted with alluring undertones of orange blossoms, cassis, ginger and an assortment of field spices. The middle has a graceful texture and a complex framework that is well balanced with a whisper of acidity. This sparkling wine keeps your attention well into its long and memorable finish. This is one of the most impressive domestic sparkling wines that I have tasted in years. Schramsberg has had decades of experience in fine tuning this style. It is a great value given the amount of enjoyment that it offers. Congrats to Hugh Davies and his team in crafting this impressive achievement.
