2020 Stoller Family Estate Reserve Chardonnay

Located in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley in the Dundee Hills AVA, Stoller uniquely offers world-class wines and genuine hospitality in a stunning setting. In 1993, owner Bill Stoller purchased the nearly 400-acre property, which was originally his family’s turkey farm. The winery’s inaugural Pinot Noir was in 2001. His vision of innovation in blending vineyard stewardship with environmental sustainability was recognized in 2006 when Stoller became the first LEED® certified winemaking facility in the United States. Today, the winery features panoramic views, including Mt. Hood, with ample outdoor space for relaxation and guest houses.

The Stoller Reserve Chardonnay 2020 is an impressive wine and showed classic Willamette Valley style. The color is pale gold with aromas of fresh cut pear, lime zest, minerality crushed stone and a hint of asparagus. Yes…asparagus! This is one of those wines where the aroma and the palate come together with citrus, acidity, fresh minerality and a delicious, elegant mouth-feel. I’ve tasted several vintages of this wine and have grown to appreciate the complexity of this Chardonnay.
