2020 Theorem Vineyards Chardonnay

Owners Kisha and Jason Itkins have had much success with mountain fruit. With the success they have achieved on Diamond Mountain, they continued to pursue a site that produced crisp, higher acid wines with the acquisition of a second estate vineyard; a 34-acre property the straddles both Napa and Sonoma Counties, primarily in Sonoma’s Moon Mountain District. The property is located at 1800 feet elevation with volcanic soils and cool breezes from San Pablo Bay and the Pacific Ocean. From this specific vineyard they are currently producing two whites. the Theorem Vineyards Moon Mountain District Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

This bottling is 100% Chardonnay. In the glass the wine reveals reveals a pale golden color. The aromas show Royal Riviera pear, lemon cream, and subtle vanilla with a very appealing hint of crushed rocks, minerality and chalk. On the palate it's medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and a delicious mouthfeel. It shows and intriguing mix of baked, Asian pear, lemon zest, subtle spice from the oak, and vanilla. Also, there is a hint of wet stone and the perfect amount of acidity that carries through to a long finish. Lovely and memorable Chardonnay!
