Established in 1987, Cantine Colosi sources grapes from 25 acres of vineyards between Capo Faro and Porri on the island of Salina. This area is considered ideal for grape growing because of its sun exposure and soils rich in organic and mineral substrates from the volcanic sub-soils. The vines were planted on terraces with grape varieties typical of this Mediterranean location.

This wine is 100% Nero D’Avola aged in stainless steel tanks for six months. From the dark ruby overtones emerge fragrances of ripe macerated currants and Morello cherries. The flavors explode on the palate with savory elements of juicy red raspberries, spicy nuances and caressing tannins. The mouthfeel is succulent and delicately ripe with a nicely refined texture. The length is moderate and perfectly proportioned.
