The 2021 Chalk Hill Estate Chardonnay is a gem and has it all! The color displays pale straw that glistens in the glass. Aromas of lemon, crushed rocks, honeydew melon, and a hint of vanilla. This is a full-bodied chardonnay, but maintains an elegance throughout the palate. Flavors of lemon curd, candied nuts, and notes of oak and vanilla and slightly chalky paint the palate leading to a delicious full mouth-feel and sleek finish. This beautifully made Chardonnay could benefit from a few years in the bottle where it should gain more balance and elegance.
