The winery's vineyards are thoughtfully woven through the native foliage and contoured to fit the intricate terrain. More than two-thirds of the Chalk Hill Estate remains uncultivated. The higher elevations offer spectacular views of the Russian River Valley to the west and the Mayacamas Mountains to the east.

The Chalk Hill Sonoma Coast Chardonnay consistently receives high marks by wine critics as being “bright, forward, balanced, and approachable." The 2021 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is no exception. In the glass the color displays pale straw tones. Aromas of sliced pear, honey crisp apple, cinnamon, and a hint of toast and vanilla. The palate is quite broad, textured, and expansive but maintains a lightness, balanced acidity and minerality through to a pleasant finish. The Chalk Hill Sonoma Coast Chardonnay represents one of the great values in California Chardonnay that should be enjoyed now.
