2021 Di Giovanna Vuria Nerro Mascalese Rosato DOC

Di Giovanna is one of the oldest family-run wineries in Sicily. It is presently managed by fifth generation brothers Klaus and Gunther Di Giovanna. The five family vineyards are situated in western Sicily’s Sambuca di Sicilia and Contessa Entellina region and consist of 160 acres of vines. These vineyards are planted to indigenous and international grape varietals.

This rosé is produced from Nerello Mascalese grapes vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness. This aromatic wine reminds you of a Provencal Rosé from the south of France. The pale salmon hue opens with a bouquet of fresh white flowers laced with a touch of minerality and herbs. It draws you into a core of fresh wild strawberries, pomegranate and cranberry with some savory notes. Everything is nicely balanced with a touch of fresh acidity.
