2021 Hartford Court Four Hearts Vineyard RRV Chardonnay

Hartford Family Winery was founded in 1993 because of Don and Jennifer Hartford's appreciation for the wines, the people, and the unique vineyards near their Russian River Valley home. Located in the Sonoma County town of Forestville, the winery is about 15 miles from the cool Pacific Coast.
Hartford Court bottlings are small lots of high-personality single vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that express the distinctive qualities inherent in each vineyard's terroir - the interplay of soil, slope, exposure, and climate. The fruit is sourced from the Russian River Valley, Green Valley and Sonoma Coast appellations.

The Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay is almost exclusively from Tom Dehlinger’s Vineyard on Laguna Ridge in the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is planted to heirloom clones of Chardonnay and is one of the oldest plantings of Chardonnay in the Russian River – over 40 years old. The 2020 Four Hearts Chardonnay shows a lovely pale yellow with straw hues. It opens with perfumed oak, jasmine, plenty of ripe tropical fruit, ginger, and spice. Full bodied, a supple, layered mouth-feel, nicely integrated acidity and building of spice, toast and minerality leads to a silky sumptuous finish. This is another thrilling, brilliant and memorable Chardonnay from Hartford Court. Enjoy now or hold 5-10 years.
