Nickel & Nickel is situated in Oakville on the site of a farm established by John C. Sullenger. He secured the land in 1865 and had been involved with mining activities in Napa Valley. Gil and Beth Nickel purchased the property in 1997. The property is 42 acres in size and is home to the John C Sullinger Vineyards. Joe Harden became director of winemaking in 2018 and works with 24 separate vineyards.

This bottling is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the knoll west of the Silverado Trail within the Rutherford AVA of Napa Valley. It was aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels (50% new) This deep ruby red bottling exhibits a wealth of juicy red and blue fruits. Within the vibrant core are dark red plums, crème de cassis and macerated cherries integrated with sandalwood, baking spices and melted cocoa. This is a fleshy and expressive Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon with tannins that are ripe, finely grained and rounded.
